What a GAF Roof System Includes
GAF makes far more than shingles. A full system includes the shingles plus the parts around them. That means starter strips, underlayment, ridge caps, and vents.
This matters for your warranty. GAF’s enhanced warranties require a GAF Lifetime shingle plus qualifying GAF accessories, installed to GAF’s specs. If a roofer mixes in another brand’s starter or ridge cap, you may lose access to that coverage.

What GAF Master Elite Means for You
Master Elite is GAF’s top contractor tier. To earn it, a roofer has to be licensed, fully insured, and factory-trained, with a track record of quality work.
The biggest benefit to you is warranty access. In GAF’s own words, it entrusts Master Elite contractors to offer its strongest warranties, including the Golden Pledge Limited Warranty, on qualifying roof systems. Contractors without that status can’t offer it.
You can confirm our status yourself on GAF’s contractor directory. We’d encourage you to do that with any roofer who claims a manufacturer credential.

- Free inspection. We start with a free roof inspection. We check the attic, the decking, and the vents. If it’s a storm claim, we can give you a written roof condition letter for your insurer.
- Pick the system. We help you choose the shingle and color. Then we spec the matching GAF accessories so the roof qualifies for the warranty you want.
- Tear off to the deck. The old roof comes off completely. Damaged decking gets photographed and replaced.
- Install with new components. We replace pipe jacks, vents, and flashing on every replacement. We do not reuse old parts to save money.
- Register the warranty. Enhanced GAF warranties have to be registered with GAF. We’ll make sure yours is, and you’ll get the paperwork.

One tip for any estimate you get, from us or anyone else: ask for the warranty name in writing. “GAF warranty” can mean the basic shingle warranty or an enhanced system warranty. Those are very different things. A clear estimate names the exact one and lists the parts it requires.

How long does a new roof take to install?

Does mixing roofing brands void a GAF warranty?
It can limit your coverage. GAF’s enhanced warranties require a GAF Lifetime shingle plus qualifying GAF accessories. We spec a full GAF system so you don’t lose coverage.
